We all have those days and those moments when we are just feeling “woe is me”. Where it seems like nothing is going right in the world around us and you maybe wondering “why is this happening to me?”. Well, I was personally in a bit of a slump over the last week or so, and it wasn’t fun. But then with the Thanksgiving holiday approaching, I made myself take a moment to step back and have a better look my life and at all the things I had to be thankful for…I have a roof over my head…a job that I absolutely adore (and that pays the bills)…a handful of truly wonderful friends that would do anything for me…opportunities to travel the world…a loving family…and the ability to provide happiness through my work. And after spending some time thinking about this and how grateful I am to be where I am, I decided that for the holidays that I want to pay my gratitude forward to someone. I want to give someone that is less fortunate, something to be thankful for this holiday season.
I want to donate a portrait session, & prints from that session, to someone would could really use something to be thankful for this year.
So now here’s where I need your help. Do you know someone that is less fortunate and can’t afford a portrait session? Or someone that has been dealt a hard hand in game of life and that this would be exactly what they needed to bring a smile to their faces? If so, LET ME KNOW! Here’s the rules:
*You cannot nominate yourself! But please nominate someone that you think is deserving of this session and let me know why.
*This portrait session MUST take place on the afternoon of Saturday, December 7th, 2013 some time between 1pm – 4pm.
*This session must be taken at a location within 20 miles of Lakewood, Ohio.
*Nominations must be submitted by Tuesday, December 3rd, 2013.
Feel free to email me your nomination at: email@example.com or write your nomination on my Facebook wall – www.facebook.com/tamariephotography (or “like” other nominations people have made on my wall). I will notify the chosen nominee and the lucky recipient on Wednesday, December 4th, 2013.
This is something that I’ve wanted to do for awhile, and it excites me so much to have the opportunity to hopefully lift someone out of their own slump and show them that this is ALWAYS something to be thankful for….
