You could feel the nervous excitement in the air as I met Alex inside the courthouse. This was a special day where he was going to marry the love of his life. They met two years prior but knew almost immediately that they were meant for each other. They actually said their vows to each other in private within the first year of dating and the bond between the pair just grows stronger and stronger by the day. This sweet couple was ready to tie the knot and knew they wanted to keep it small and intimate with just their immediate family & friends. And the courthouse seemed like the perfect setting since Alex works there as a public defender.
When the bride Maggie walked down the aisle in her mother’s wedding dress with the biggest smile on her face towards her groom, it was hard for anyone…even myself…to keep the tears from welling up. And if that wasn’t enough, this adorable couple could not seem to wipe the happy grins off their faces as they stood at the altar…it was just so evident to anyone in the room that these two were made for each other! After the ceremony, we headed outside for some quick photos of the pair with the family and then just the two of them before they headed off to Pier 22 for a celebratory lunch with everyone. Short. Simple. And an absolutely perfect way for them to start their marriage and lives together as husband and wife. Here are a few of my favorites from their morning elopement. Enjoy!
