Frequently Asked Questions

What is your style? My photographic style is raw and real. I love capturing candid, emotionally driven images. I find myself gravitating to images that are backlit by the sun and feel a bit moody, so as to pull you into the scene of the image.

Where are you located? I am currently based out of St Petersburg, Florida servicing Tampa, Clearwater, Bradenton, and Sarasota. I make it to the Cleveland, Ohio area a few times a year too. I absolutely love to travel and explore all over (U.S. and internationally), so please let me know if you are interested in my services in other areas. In fact I may even offer a special discount if you plan to elope or have an intimate wedding in a city I’ve always wanted to visit.

Who is your client? My client is someone who values art and having a damn good time at their session. They care about enjoying an authentic experience with their loved one(s) and embracing who they are – flaws and all. They embrace succumbing to their emotional side during a session, being connected in portraits and are not thinking about looking straight at the camera and smiling every.single.frame. They enjoy a little exploration during their session and finding varying angles & locations, albeit how edgy and different from the norm they may be.

How far in advance should I book my shoot? The short answer is: as soon as possible. But I would recommend booking at least 4-5 weeks out for portrait sessions, 8-10 weeks out for a boudoir session. Elopements and intimate weddings, I’d suggest as soon as you figure out your venue. This doesn’t mean I can’t squeeze you in last minute though…sometimes I do have last minute cancellations. Do you photograph elopements? I sure do and I absolutely love them! If you are interested, please shoot me a message!

Do you share all your boudoir sessions online? Nope! You probably only see about 10% of the sessions I shoot. I understand and respect that these are private images and only share those that I have permission to share.

When should I schedule a newborn session? I recommend advanced scheduling of your lifestyle newborn session ahead of time for a tentative weekday date within 5-10 days of birth. If baby comes early/late, just contact me within 72 hours of the birth so we will adjust accordingly.

Do you have a studio? No, I am a lifestyle photographer and prefer to work on-location in a setting that is more reminiscent of who you are. Please note, any travel outside of a 40-mile radius of zip code 33704 is subject to travel fees.

How long does it take to get images and products? Images will be available in a private gallery within 2 weeks for lifestyle & boudoir sessions, within 4 weeks for intimate weddings & elopements. Print products and digital files will be delivered within 2 weeks of your ordering session. Albums within 4 weeks of design approval.

Do you design albums? Yes! I currently design linen albums from Madera Books and custom leather wrapped albums from Woodland Albums.

What should we wear for a family or couples session? I recommend simple clothing as it is great for timeless portraits and so the photos don’t become too busy. Wearing coordinated, but not necessarily matching, outfits are great to create a unified look. Try to stay away from bright white shirts (off-white is better!), and wearing the exact same outfits. Fun accessories (jewelry, hats, scarves, etc.) are always a plus too! I am happy to guide you with suggestions of what will photograph well and that you feel comfortable in.

Can you change these images to color, b&w, touch up a blemish, etc. after you have already edited the images? I do make sure to spend time after your photo shoot editing your images to make them “picture perfect”! But if you want to make some additional changes, I am more than happy to provide vanity edits, for a minimal fee.

What kind of equipment do you use? I currently have a Canon 5D Mark III and a backup Canon 5D Mark II. I also use top of the line Canon EF lenses.

What happens if I need to reschedule? I understand life gets in the way sometimes, and I’m more than happy to reschedule if needed (for a another date within a 6 month time frame of a signed contract). Any cancellations made within 48 hours of the session will result in a $25 reschedule fee.
